Due to the new Social Security Calculation Size Ordinance for the year 2022, the values relevant for the minimum salary limits in residence law are now also fixed: For the Blue Card/EU pursuant to Section 18b para. 2, sentence 1 AufenthG, the minimum salary for 2022 is therefore โ‚ฌ56,400 gross/year, i.e. โ‚ฌ4,700/month. For the so-called shortage occupations pursuant to Sec. 18b para. 2, sentence 2 AufenthG, the minimum salary for the Blue Card/EU for 2022 must be โ‚ฌ 43,992 gross per year, i.e. โ‚ฌ 3,666 per month. The contribution assessment ceiling for general pension insurance, from which the other minimum salary limits applicable under residence law can also be calculated, is โ‚ฌ84,600/year for 2022, i.e. โ‚ฌ7,050/month (Section 3 (1) no. 1 of the Regulation).
