The interior ministers of the EU have agreed to extend the protection for Ukrainian refugees beyond the current time limit of 04.03.2024 for another year until 04.03.2025. The decision still has to be formally adopted by the Council of the EU. The residence permits, which are only limited until 04.03.2024, must now be extended by the immigration authorities for another year – good news for all those affected.
